Words have always been my art:
They dance for me and sing for me;
They laugh for me and cry for me;
They are my paint and brushes;
They are my clay.

OctPoWriMo 1 - I Love Fall
Call it Autumn; call it Fall;
I don’t care—I love it all:
Pumpkin lattés, yellow leaves,
Longer pants, and shirts with sleeves.
Winter’s cold and Summer’s hot;
Spring is muddy—Autumn’s not.
Short and sweet, I really like it.
ReplyDeleteJust what I thought - short and sweet! Really bounces off the page too. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteLively poem that I was reading as I was listening to a fast song on the radio and went very well together. Love the last two lines!
ReplyDeleteYour words made me smile wider and wider as I read along. Love this!! So glad to read you tonight!
ReplyDeleteOh I just adore this autumnal romp of a poem! All of the wonderful harbingers of fall that I love.
ReplyDeleteCharming. I love the imagery in the details.
ReplyDeleteSimply lovely, Our Autumns are muddy, here, as they cut the maize and it rains a lot.
